We thank Allah, the Almighty, for this marvelous translation to English.  All of us clearly insist that the Qur’an, being the word of Allah, only exists in the Arabic language.  Yet, we fully recognize the need for translations to encourage non-Arabic speakers and the thousands of new Muslims coming to Islam to avail themselves of the meaning behind the words of Allah in simple English.

We also admit the difficulties for being able to convey the message in the same fluid manner as the way the Qur’an comes to us from Allah’s speech to our prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him).  So, we are most happy and proud to convey our full support for the Saheeh International translation of meanings of the Qur’an to the English language.  Very seldom have we seen such a dynamic presentation of the style and co-ordination of textual representation from the Arabic of the Qur’an in the proper order to English.  This is a feat unimagined for centuries and yet, Saheeh International has successfully pulled it off.

I’m convinced that this translation still remains the best, in spite of the good works of previous translators (although faults and shortages are obvious in those translations).  I’ve come to this conclusion through long study and research, and through communicating and sharing dawah issues with many influential leaders of Islamic work in the West.  There is explicit evidence and consensus among them that Saheeh International is the Best.  [A scholar living in America] said when I asked him about it, “Indeed, the translation was a relief to us here in the West.  We were very embarrassed to recommend other translations, but with the occurrence of the Saheeh International translation, we became more confident to ask people to read the Qur’an.”  Even common people can reach the meaning of Allah’s word and grasp it easily [with this translation].
